About the ThrustMapper

The ThrustMapper is a graphical interface for setting up how games work with your ThrustMaster controls. The ThrustMapper:

  • Records the names of games installed on your computer. If the game supports DirectInput, the ThrustMapper is not needed unless you wish to alter control's role in the game by re-assigning game actions.

  • Provides simplied creation and editing of script files for partnering game actions with your control.

After the ThrustMapper is told a game's name and location, software will automatically fetch and partner a set of game actions to your control whenever that game is run. Script files are used to hold the directions for translating control movements and button presses into actions for particular game. Scripts can greatly increase game playability.

Once you have "told" the ThrustMapper which games you play, you do not need use the ThrustMapper again unless you wish to:

  • add, delete or disable titles from its list of recognized games.

  • make an alternative script under a game title the "active" script for that game.

  • create, modify or import script files.
